In order for the guarantee and warranty period to be honoured, special care is needed and your product is to be preserved in the same condition as received by yourself for a bed set is a hygiene product, soiled products will however void the product guarantee and warranty. It is therefore we recommend that you purchase and utilise a water-proof mattress protector.

Natural Body impressions vs Mattress Sagging (What is mattress sagging)
Your Mattrapedic™ mattress contains the finest natural and man-made fillings and you may notice that a body impression of up to 6 cm (six centimetres) may form. This is not a structural or manufacturing defect. The natural settling of these fillings is merely conformed to your body’s contours and weight distribution. These are most noticeable in the morning. Remember, you have been sleeping on the mattress for more than 6 hours. Allow the mattress 10 to 15 minutes to “reset” / return to its original shape. If not by then, kindly contact the store from which you had purchased your Mattrapedic™ product and notify the representative.

Handling of your Mattrapedic™

All Mattrapedic™ products MUST be stored and or transported in a horizontal (flat) position.
DO NOT store and or transport your Mattrapedic™ product in a vertical (upright) position.
ALL Pocket Coil spring mattresses MUST be stored and transported flat and SHOULD NOT be stored or transported on their sides.
Kindly note, that Mattrapedic™ will not honour any guarantee and or warranty should it be found that their products had been stored and or transported on its sides.

Calculating your charge for repair or replacement:

Calculating your charge is quite simple:
Divide your dealer’s current retail price by the total limited warranty, then multiplying by the number of years since purchase date on your digital proof of purchase invoice.
For Example:
Current retail price R 5 899.00 / Total limited warranty 10 Years = R 589.90
Number of years since purchase date = 5 years
Charge for repair replacement (R 589.90 x 5 years) = R 2 949.50**
** Excludes all transport costs

Caring for and extending the life of your Mattrapedic™ Sleep System:

As with all quality products, your Mattrapedic™ sleep system will last longer and help you sleep more comfortably if you follow a few simple procedures. This will provide you with the most consistent settling and compression levels required for these quality comfort and support layers.

For your comfort and help extend the life of your product, we recommend that you regularly rotate the mattress. We suggest the following rotation cycle:
1) Rotating the Flip Free (single sided) mattress:
Initial position, Rotate the mattress (clockwise), Realign Mattress, then repeat the process every 2 weeks for the 1st 3 months and then once every month
2) Rotating and Flipping the Dual Comfort (double sided) mattress:
Initial position, Rotate the mattress (clockwise), then flip over the mattress, Realign Mattress, then rotate the mattress (clockwise), then repeat the process every 2 weeks for the 1st 3 months and then once every month

WARNING! Attempts to turn the mattress by yourself may cause Personal injury or damage your mattress

If your new Mattrapedic™ mattress has one sleeping surface; this means that you will never have to turn your mattress over (Please note Rotation Cycle). This mattress has upholstery padding, which increases its longevity and support performance. Do not attempt to sleep on the non-sleep surface of the mattress, as its not made for that purposes.

For dual comfort side mattresses (double-side), we recommend turning your mattress over (flipping) your mattress every 2 weeks, and rotating the sleeping surface in a clockwise direction upon every turn-over, thus ensuring even wear on the comfort layers and fibre fillings.

Care for your Mattrapedic™ Sleep System – DO’s and DON’T’s

Here are some simple hints on how to maximize your Mattrapedic™ sleep experience:

DO’S
● Do read and keep your warranty card as this will provide you with adequate knowledge of the product you have purchased
● Do carry your mattress flat.
● Do rotate your mattress (Clockwise and then anti-clockwise) every 2 weeks for the first 3 months, thereafter every month.
● Do keep your bedding clean and use a waterproof mattress protector.
● Do give your new sleep system time to “breathe” upon removal from its plastic packaging
● Do replace the foundation when purchasing a new mattress.
● Do give yourself time to adjust to the new feel and support of your new sleep system. We recommend a minimum of 14 nights.
● Do take note, weight guidelines provided is based on a person in a normal sleeping position, not for edge support or seating.

DON’T’S
● Don’t smoke in bed. This is a potential fire hazard.
● Do not use an electric blanket as high temperatures cause compression or sagging and may affect the fillings and fibre of the upholstery
layers.
● Don’t stand or jump on your mattress.
● Do not bend your mattress as this may cause damage to the inner spring unit and or its core.
● Do not remove the manufacturing tag (label) on your mattress – this serves as a means of identification to establish your warranty
period and rights.
● Don’t allow your mattress to get wet – this may affect the filling layers, causing them to compress and become damaged. This may also
occur when a Retailer applies a Fabric Protection Treatment after manufacture and re-inserts the mattress into its packaging.
● Do not sit on the edge of your mattress as this will damage the frame of your spring unit.
